# For partner schools and agencies

We have welcomed students sent by schools and agencies from across Europe since 2000. If you place young learners in homestay programmes, we would love to talk to you about working together.

Working with us, in numbers:

- **4 in 5** Partner schools came back to us the following year (2024 to 2025)
- **9 in 10** 2025 bookings came from agencies who had worked with us before
- **83** Active host families across Hastings
- **4** Countries our groups came from in the last three seasons (Czech, Dutch, French, German)

## How we work with partner agencies

We are a small, family-run team, and that is the point. When you send students to Hastings, you are not handed off between desks. From your first message through to your students' return home, you have the same dedicated point of contact at Charles Eaton.

We aim to reply to every enquiry within 24 hours. Once a partnership is in motion, we always meet every prospective host family in their own home before they welcome their first student.

## How we keep students safe

The safety and well-being of every student in our care is the foundation of everything we do. Six things hold a stay together, and none of them are policies on a page.

- **Students are never placed alone.** Every host family welcomes a pair of students or more, so no young person is on their own.
- **Daily transport is the host's responsibility.** Hosts pick up students from the school each evening and drop them off the following morning. Students do not travel into town alone in the evenings.
- **Once they are home, they are home.** There are no unsupervised evening activities. Students remain with their warm and welcoming host family from arrival in the evening until departure the next morning.
- **Hosts are visited at home.** Every prospective host family is met by our team in their own home before they welcome their first student.
- **A continuous feedback loop.** Every visiting student is invited to share feedback on their host family at the end of their stay. We have over 800 feedback records, and we use them to keep improving.
- **DBS checks on request.** DBS checks are not a regulatory requirement for homestay hosts in our context, but we are happy to arrange them on request for partner organisations who require them as a condition of placement.
